music to my ears

I grew up listening to oldies but goodies, u know, like Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, Elvis, the Platters... That's my Dad's influence. New Wave music also captured my ears, n I blame my brothers n cousins 4 that . Then came along rock, hair metals , grunge smashing pumpkins>, then alternative I just learn how to appreciate broadway music 6 yrs ago. Les Miserables opened the door for me. Cats, Phantom, Miss Saigon rules! But my Favorites are Rent by Jonathan Larson, and Jesus Christ Superstar, by Webber/Rice. On my job, I supervise the multimedia dept and i"m being exposed to different types of music. Now I'm finding myself listening to more classicals, like violinist Itzhak Perlman , Andrea Bocelli , and I actually inclined some of my time listening to the opera La Boheme by Puccini <> I also listen to old school/contemporary jazz, like Miles Davis, Loui Armstrong,David Benoit, Astrud Gilberto but John Coltrane is my man! I'm still trying to listen to Bob Dylan's, but all I hear is harmonica. I do like the context of his music, specially blowin' in the wind. I only listen to Mariah Carey when she's on MTV, so I can see her nice *&@#* . Been listening to techno/chill trip music. Check out Tosca, it's pretty cool. Also check the soundtrack to Groove, love the music, it's tripping. I still listen to Filipino Music everyday. I still have eraserheads Circus Album <2nd> in my car n I listen to it everyday while driving. Eraserheads is like the version of the Beatles in the Philippines, they're d best, too bad the lead singer Ely left the band. I guess he's done his job. I can go on and on, but I'm tired n sleepy. I'll catch u guys later! peace.
